JP is passing out 10 scout tickets like fuckin' candy this week because it's Welcome Festival, and today there was a guaranteed 5* 10 scout!!!! I've wanted this Kanata for soooooo long; he goes with my favorite Madara card (sad wet boy) and he's just really pretty in general *w*

SO THAT WAS NICE!!! Especially since I got a third copy of Kaoru's first feature scout, something I have never asked for but see all the time anyway. Such is gacha life!

In less fun news, I was completely unable to sleep last night. I felt like ass, so that meant...no sleep for me??? I have no fucking clue what's wrong with my body. So, instead of laying in bed staring at the ceiling for hours, I got my laptop and made icons XD I finished sets for ic_animated and iconcolors :D I'm honestly very pleased with all of them...the challenge at ic_animated was unique in a fun way, and I used all of one screencap from all those YuGiOh episodes I downloaded. I'm, uh, good at things~

I did end up taking a nap in the middle of the afternoon...me and Lumos had a cat nap on the couch together ♥ I still don't feel great, but that helped somewhat.

Speaking of Lumos...I have some very cute pictures of her to share!!! Now that we've separated the cats in the house - Lumos on the first floor, Dennis and Lily on the second and third floors - she's starting to come out of her shell again!!! She just doesn't get along with Pat's cats and it's been stressing her out ;w; But I'm glad to see she's doing better!!!!!

So that's all very good ;w; I'm just happy that Lumos is happy. She still keeps trying to come upstairs with us some nights, but I think the disappointment at not being able to sleep in our room is far less than the stress of being around the other cats all the time. I think once we're out of the adjustment period and she forgets about the upstairs, it'll be just about perfect :D

I'm also at risk at just rewatching all of YuGiOh, but that's unrelated to Lumos- tho she did seem quite interested in the dub when I was screencapping an episode XD She has the worst taste, I swear...it's very cute.

Final flex for this entry: I managed to perfect combo Ruby Love in engstars again!!!!! I did it during the event and just made peace with knowing I'd be giving up that saved autoplay, but apparently not!!!! I did it again! thx graduation tour for making me give it a shot~~~

You can get 32 oz of bubble tea for only $1 more than the regular large size, so you know I had to get one OwO Pat was getting hair dye after work and there's a gong cha across the street and SO!!!!!!

Liz and I went to Wegmans after dinner and picked up an apple pie, since it's something we all like, and we had pie for pi day! :D I don't think I've properly celebrated it since high school, since my school always made a big deal out of it. I'm pretty sure I've had pie on 3/14 since then, back when I worked in bakeries, but it wasn't like a "big deal" or anything. So it was nice!!!

And now we have pie~ It's actually quite good, so I don't think it'll last through the weekend XD But it'll be good while it lasts!

Also, I just had some very good gacha luck in enstars today, so I'm gonna gush about that~

Liz and I are about to watch the first episode of Yellowjackets, because we've both heard really good things about it and have multiple friends who really like it...and he have time to kill until the JP event starts XD But no, seriously, many friends have recommended this show, so I'm actually excited to check it out! I don't usually go for real people skin shows...fingers crossed it's worth it ;D

I still feel like crap. It's kinda like.......what, I got over being sick and got one, maybe two good days before I got knocked on my ass again???? That is decidedly unfair ;w;

And I just feel so whiny!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took an accidental nap in the middle of the afternoon :T Like, all I did today was lay on the couch and watch crap on YouTube, so what did I need a nap for? I guess because I'm in so much pain I'm not getting enough sleep??? idk.

At least I did something with my evening. Liz, Pat, and I went out to dinner at a Japanese place Pat found, and...they were unexpectedly swamped. We ended up waiting more than an hour for a table on a Thursday night. What???

It was really good, though!

idk what else I wanted to talk about. I think I just wanted a break from making icons because I hate everything I make right now- probably because of how crummy I feel.

I did end up finishing a new layout for killiansicons!!!!!!!!! I ended up using one of my favorite Mayoi cards - the Sanrio collab ;w; - for it and I'm quite pleased. It's simpler than I tend to go for usually, but it has a lot of features I like. I think icons/graphics/etc pop more than on the old one, to start with :D

Anyway, I've been working on icons from the new shuffle MV, because I just looooove the aesthetic (and also I've been meaning to make icons of both Shinobu and Yume, so this is well timed). I'm gonna pivot to some more challenge ones soon, cuz I'm burning myself out, but they've been coming out really well!!! Downside: I like all of them and want to use them, but I'm just about of icons :T How do I have room for over 300 and still run out????

I was maybe thinking Kingdom Hearts?????? But also maybe Mayoi :T

tbh it's kind of a moot point right now because I'm still in paaaaaaain so like. I can't focus on anything ;w;

We did go grocery shopping last night at least, so I got more chocolate + easy meals and then almost threw up in the Lidl because I was in so much pain. This period is hitting a lot harder than usual D: I just wanna curl up in a ball and die until it's over...

I've only been trying for the past year and fucking it up - I cannot tell you how many times I tried in jp beforehand or during the event in engstars - but I did it and that's what matters.

New event announcement tonight!! Thanks to fucking daylight savings time, it'll be at 2 am instead of 1 am, which sucks ass...especially since it's almost certainly going to be a shuffle with Shinobu in it. PLZ BRING ME MY NINJA BOY FASTER!!!

I just hope it's something cool...he deserves more things where he gets to be badass!!!!!!!!! Other than that, I don't care I guess?? I'd like to see him with some of my faves - especially Mayoi, I'd love a second shinomayo event ♥ - but I don't know. I just love shuffles *w*

Today, we made another pilgrimage to our Joanns ;w; I'm very attached to this particular Joanns, because it's the one I went to in college (the first time, so the late 00s) and then I lived basically across the street from it when I first moved back to Baltimore in 2016. It is THE Joanns for both times I've lived in this city, so it's the one that's hitting me hardest.

....to be fair, I haven't been up to Pittsburgh to visit the Monroeville Joanns, aka where I got my start with sewing & cosplay, because I'm just not ready yet. I'm gonna see if we can make a short trip up to say goodbye to it before it closes...but it's so hard to think about ;w;

ANYWAY. In an attempt to fight my depression over the bankruptcy, I had Liz take a couple fun pics of me in the fabric section of the Joanns. I wanna remember all the joy it brought me over the years ♥

I'M TRYING TO HOLD IT TOGETHER I'm still very sick so it's hitting me so hard ;w; I want to enjoy working on cosplay and shit, I just...sobs.

We managed to get navy fabric for Madara's pants, the green for his top, the gold for....all his bullshit gold bits, and the light pink for Kohaku's top. We're gonna have to wrangle the embroidery machine for Madara, but I'm honestly pretty excited to figure it out :D

And then we had a time getting Taco Bell for dinner...the one right near the Joanns was randomly closed for the weekend???? And then the next closest one wouldn't let us place an online order...because???????? So we had to loop around and go to yet a different one, which I will always remember for the time they forgot to include the crunch part of my crunchwrap in 2011 XD

I got crunchwrap sliders today and they did include the crunch~ Literally it only happened that one time, but I can't get it out of my mind XD WHATEVER it was tasty!!!!

I've been curled up on the couch since we got home, because I do not feel good. Even with taking more DayQuil, I am not...doing well.....which is frustrating, because I have shit to do! I'm waaaaaay behind on the Switch event- not so much that I can't catch up, but I was hoping to be further than this already.

Also, I barely slept last night, because I was so exhausted and sick that I couldn't fall asleep. I ended up doing quick editing on some selfies from katsu~~~

I used the absolute last of the bleach in our house, every bit of dust of it, but I managed to lighten my roots enough to dye them much lighter ;D I'm pretty pleased with it!!! I still need to trim the ends and shape it some, buuuuuut now I'm fucking sick.

Liz and Pat were sick earlier this week, so I shouldn't be too surprised, but still!!! My throat hurt yesterday and then today I woke up feeling like absolute ass, and it hasn't improved since then ;w; Liz did get me dinner from our favorite hole-in-the-wall Chinese place, with the hope that spicy food would fix me, but no dice ;w; I feel very loved ♥ But definitely still sick.

I'm trying to play the JP event because, Switch, but I haven't been able to focus at allllll today.
