        | | Used my manga TBR boardgame . I finished 6/6 on my last challenge . I mostly read just a few chapters of each as I quickly realized my energy level was too low to read a full volume for everything. Also I'm on a BL kick and only one of those was BL. In any case it was nice to read some shounen I haven't touched in too long!Avatar: Ciel from KuroshitsujiSkill: Cover two prompts with one manga Roll #1:

A 6, prompt: 20+ volumes. I was determined to do as much BL/shorter stuff as possible and then this lol. Not a whole lot of BL that long, BUT I have been meaning to catch up on Junjou Romantic (30+ volumes currently), though I have decided to start from the beginning.

 Roll #2:

A 9, prompt: published between 2000-2010, using my skill to cover Junjou Romantica.

 Roll #3:

 A 12(!), prompt: a oneshot. 999 Hitome no Otoko .

 Roll #4:

A 4, prompt: angels. Angelic Partners.

 Roll #5:

11 and the end. Why does it always seem the manga challenge goes easy on me when it's the last challenge I want to? The physical BL for this challenge is Dash! and I kinda already started on it.

        | | I don’t think people do enough with the personal horror that is being a Giovanni. Start with “what if your rapist uncle could never die” and go from there. “Don’t forget, you’re here forever” style energy. Get fucking messy with it. | | |

        | | I can't think of a reason for it not to be! Future games are only going to look better, and screenshots help with the hype. It's probably a lot easier to take screenshots on PC compared to Xbox, so I'm woeing in my corner. The Outer Worlds 2 officially released yesterday, and it's striking so far. I'm not terribly far in yet; still in the first town, haven't done any quests yet because I'm having fun exploring and taking my time looking at the environment. The first area's so colorful! I can't remember the first game's story at *all*, but I think this sequel can be played comfortably without any prior knowledge. Even if anything's been referenced, I wouldn't know! The sun's beginning to rise.

I chose the Renegade background for my gal. I've fashioned her as a reformed mercenary who joined the Earth Directorate as a deal to absolve herself of some of her... not-so-legal actions but naturally grew into her role as a leader and started to enjoy being part of a team. After the deaths of most of her charges though, much of her unsavory viewpoints and thoughts from her life of crime have bubbled up to the surface. She never entirely lost her abrasive nature, I suppose. She's quite lucky though, and things tend to go her way along with trying her best to condition her body to peak form to fit the mold of a strong commander, though she's naturally frail and sometimes sickly . Can't have it all. My two companions have already talked to each other quite a bit, along with commenting on many of my choices so far. Makes me think about the wasted potential of Final Fantasy XVI with that. Sigh. Anyway, it's smooth sailing so far! I know Obsidian games are not everyone's cup of tea though, but I'm optimistic about this one. It's memorable than 1 and already feels more memorable than Avowed... though Avowed has Brandon Keener, so I can't strike it down too harshly. Damn you, stupid sexy alien husband voice!

| Challenge 280: TRICK OR TREAT
 | | For some people, it’s a beloved childhood tradition, going door to door in costumes (sometimes elaborate, sometimes not) for candy. Other people take the “trick” part much more seriously, spending their Halloween playing pranks on friends, enemies, or anyone who doesn’t provide the promised treat. And many other people didn’t grow up with the tradition at all, and find the whole thing a little strange.BONUS GOAL: Meow!
Did your characters trick-or-treat? Would they, if they had the opportunity? Are they in it for the candy, the tricks, or both?

Write a story about a trick – or a treat.

If your submission features a cat (or more than one), it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
