Katsucon is upon us, so it's con crunch!!!!!! I'm of course having a rough pain week, so I'm moving extra slowly :T I managed to set up a wig styling station at the couch, though!


yes, I'm styling a whole new wig for Madara.....spoiled!!!
I'm using a lot of new methods on this wig, because I wasn't happy with how his first wig came out. Luckily, I snagged some cheap wigs from my favorite beauty store, sewed them together, and harvested a bunch of wefts to use for the bangs/hairline.

.........I did run out and have to buy another for the braids, but at least I found one in the same color on clearance for $10! So, in total his new wig has only cost me $22, which I'd say is damn good :D

My fingers are covered in glue right now, which is less good. Also, the whole couch is covered in wig fibers...and I am not enjoying that part. I'm pleased with how it's coming along...just glue and hair everywhere ;w;

Right now I'm actually taking a break from gluing loose hair into wefts because my back hurts so badly. I'm just frustrated!!! It's slowing me down and we leave for the con tomorrow.

...maybe I'll have more caffeine................

The package also included a rainbow ALKALOID/Crazy:B light stick, some light up Kohaku and Aira stars, and a few doujins :D I'm so glad they made it here before katsu!!!!!!!!! I was afraid they wouldn't, since it was cutting pretty close ;w; BUT HERE THEY ARE!!!

Today is dragonofeternal's 34th birthday!!!! I was afraid I wouldn't finish this in time, but I'm getting it in just under the wire~~~

I have a lot more to say about the day and how much I love them, but we're the middle of watching Dramatica Act 1 with the group chat (the enstars discord we mod) and I don't wanna miss any more of it ♥

Getting fans for characters in enstars is a tedious task- it's something that just takes time, and there's really no way around that. I'm honestly impressed with how hard I've worked at it in the year I've been playing, but tbh in ENG it's not as much a grind as it is staying on top of autoplaying songs during the time between events. JP tho...since it's all manual play, it is a legit grind that you have to work at. You love blorbo? Prove it.

All of this is to say...I managed to get both Kohaku and Madara to rank B this week in JP, thanks to the double fans going on for Valentine's Day!!!!!!!




However, this was not without strife...and not just my on and off wrist pain from playing too much enstars XD Somehow, without any sort of planning on my part, both of them ended up being ONE FUCKING FAN AWAY from 50k. Like. It happened with Kohaku and I was like "gee what are the chances?" and went and ran some work to get him the last one. But then when it also happened with Madara, I couldn't help but laugh my ass of.


Like look at this. wtf guys. How could you do this to me XD
Anyway!!! That funny coincidence aside, I'm delighted to have gotten them this far!! They're both rank A in ENG (and well on their way to A+, once that becomes available), but JP feels like a bigger accomplishment because I had to do all that manually, babeeyyyy!!!!!!!

no I still don't have a job yes I know this sounds like peak unemployed behavior but I don't care I love them

Also, the TRIP album boxes have been rerunning in JP, and I managed to max out Kohaku and Madara from the Double Face one ;w; I'm still grinding out enough materials to fully unlock the cards, but I have them, and that's what matters :D

OH ALSO lmao I do have a real life!!! Yesterday was Elio's 30th birthday party and it was wonderful time. We went over to his apartment, everyone helped make dumplings together from scratch, and we watched some movies!!! Talladega Nights was particularly funny with friends; we were all just laughing and quoting it the whole way through.


of course the boys came to the birthday party- Elio's is the day before Kohaku's, so they're bday buddies! XD

Yeah, that's right: I made a second enstars layout for myself!!!! Usually I don't change my DW layouts super often, so I don't end up having more than one per fandom, but I have been possessed. I can't escape my love of these dumb idol boys ;w;

......also it's Madara and Kohaku again DON'T JUDGE ME

Anyway!!!! Happy (Belated) New Year!!! I kept meaning to update, but I kept telling myself I wanted to finish this layout first, but then it kept taking longer than anticipated...and now here we are, nearly two weeks into the year XD I completely missed updating about my birthday, too. OOPS. Yay, I'm 35 now!

Uhhhhhhhhh okay but that's not nearly as interesting to me as this layout I made, okay? The original was made by snubbly for the Smooth Sailing S2 style, back in approx 2007, so it's got a very retro LJ look- which is what I was going for! But Smooth Sailing doesn't exist on DW and LJ phased it out, so I had to track down the raw code from elsewhere. And I did - clearly - but it didn't entirely play nice with DW. I had to go in and fiddle with variables, something I swore I'd never do because S2 confuses me too much, and eventually I made it work right :D So I'm quite proud of it.

Also I just LOVE the card art I used ;w; I actually had to rip them from the JP game because I started working on this layout the day they came out and no one had updated the wiki yet. Good thing I know my way around my phone XD

I have more to talk about, but tbh I'm sleepy and just sorta riding the high of having finished this layout~ THOUGH WAIT YES ONE MORE THING: threesentenceficathon is here!!!! I haven't written anything yet, but I can't wait to get started~~~

OH YES!!! YESTERDAY WAS MY WIFE'S BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! We celebrated by sleeping in, playing video games, working on cosplay for katsu, and going out for dinner :D It was very low-key, which was what they wanted after the all the shit we've been doing lately. I'm glad it was nice for them *w*

Other than that, I have a bunch of homework due today and tomorrow that I've been ignoring in lieu of playing enstars, so like....it's biting me in the ass and that's on me but also fuck me I have so much to do XD

I'm gonna make dinner so I stop being so brain dead that I can't think of what I wanted to say :T baibai

I'm now 34!!!!

Anyway~ Liz is working from home today and Pat took off, so we're all vibing at the house :D We're going out for Korean BBQ with another friend later, which'll be fun.

uhhhh there are some very neat decorations, but since Liz is using the dining room table to work from home, I'm gonna take pics after they're done ;D

I made them a very indulgent graphic of their favorite terrible P2 character ✌ I think my early 2000s graphics skills fit the theme of "PS1 game released in 1999/2000" quite nicely ;D

Happy 29th birthday to me!!!

I'm at work today, but I've had a good one so far!! I went out for Korean BBQ with friends last Thursday to celebrate two of our birthdays - Zippy's is on the 11th - so that was really nice. I'm probably gonna do something with Liz and Pat this coming Thursday, too :D

Yesterday was my day off though, and I just laid around the house eating leftover thai food and playing kingdom hearts :D I got all the special portals in Dream Drop Distance, which was mostly just needlessly time consuming. Liz worked in the morning, then came home and made us dinner ♥ And then Pat came over for more kingdom hearts and dessert (aka he ate handfuls of cookie dough out of the fridge).

All in all, a good birthday celebration so far!! Though I will say, I went from having a fine day at work to a really shitty one, so that's not so great :T Pat's meeting up with me and Liz for Waffle House afterwards though, which should help. I love me some Waffle House :D
