Today, I've done homework the exact same way I did in high school: by making sparkle icons


I DON'T EVEN HAVE ANYWHERE TO POST THESE BECAUSE BASICALLY NO ONE USES THEM ANYMORE but here I am!!! I suppose it's only one icon but like. look. I can post it on my graphics journal if I so desire and confuse all the like 3 people who still follow me anymore.

I'm not even upset - or like, no I'm a little upset that the world has moved past sparkle graphics for the most part - I'm just living in a wild fucking time where I no longer have a massive following desperately waiting for new icons to request. Which mostly means that I can't procrastinate my theatre homework any longer; I can't make a bunch of icons for people instead of doing homework XD

But like. Yeah. Here I am, I guess. Having another chunk of nostalgia in a Korean bakery/cafe while my wife infodumps about Kino's Journey at our roommate, which is just what being in my 30s is, I suppose!! :D It's not bad. It's just a time that is happening to me.

ps- if anyone does like my freebie name icons, I'm always happy to customize them for friends!!! plz plz plz just ask :D

Look, I got out of class early on Monday and decided that my time was best spent working an AO3 skin for an upcoming fanfic that Liz, Pat, and I are writing. tl;dr, it's a high school AU set in the mid-00s, aka when we were in high school, and it's going to be a multimedia experience. It's going to be told through a mix of LJ entries & comments, AIM chats, playlists, and prose.

But no one's made a good LJ work skin on AO3. Okay, look, someone made something that they called a LJ skin but it doesn't look anything like LJ.

So. I made my own.

AND IT LOOKS PERFECT!!!!

I even whipped up a tutorial so I could properly share it with everyone on AO3!!! I did no homework but I spent like 5 hours on this!!! XD I only have entries shared for now, even though I DID finish the comments. I just haven't written the tutorial part yet.

Oh, all the hovertext for images works, too. It's all based on LJ from 2005-2007 (ish) from wayback machine backups, old screencaps I have, and my hazy memories of high school. I'm just very please with it and oh my god someone please save me from myself. plz.

Currently working on an AIM work skin as well, but it's taking longer. It's just finicky :TTTT

FINALLY got my ADHD drugs back but it's been just long enough that between not having them + spring break, all of my habits/routines have been destroyed. So now I have to rebuild them while desperately trying to catch up on homework!! COOL!!!!!

I have a lot of other shit to say because I've had an eventful week but this is honestly the worst and I'm currently fighting my anxiety in my digital media class because I have to open Brightspace for today's class materials but then I'll see all my problems and everything that's late and I wanna fucking vomit.

....though that might be because I had a 5 hour energy for breakfast and nothing else >
